An advantage of this system is that it has the ability to measure the amount of pigment in the skin, allowing the laser to be better tailored per individual in Laser hair removal treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vectus features 2 heads; one for smaller areas (such as on the face) and one for larger areas (such as armpits, legs, back and bikini line).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To avoid damaging the epidermis with its high energy, the Palomar Vectus laser has a cooled tip. This greatly reduces the pain stimulus caused by the heating, so the treatment is very well tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The laser light is absorbed by the pigment of the hairs and is then converted into heat. This heat destroys the hair follicle, preventing hair from growing. The best time to treat is when the hairs are in the growth phase because this is when the pigment is in the hair follicle. However, this cannot be seen from the outside when which hairs are in the growth phase.
