PMU & Permanent make-up (PHI Brows)
Permanent make-up involves the application of pigments into the skin. The condition of the skin determines how the pigmentation is absorbed. Using an ultra-fine cannula, the colour pigments are applied below the surface of the skin. As a result, the pigments are inserted less deeply than a regular tattoo. This way is very suitable for men and women who prefer a neat appearance and for accentuating, correcting or beautifying the appearance naturally. Permanent make-up is particularly used for lips, eyebrows and eyes. The treatment is virtually painless.
How does it work?
During the consultation with the pigmentation specialist, the suitability of the skin for this treatment is assessed and wishes are discussed. The condition of the skin determines how the pigmentation is absorbed. An ultra-fine cannula is used to apply the colour pigments under the skin surface. The treatment is virtually painless.
Lips
Permanent make-up allows lips to be naturally accentuated and corrected. Correcting lips to a symmetrical appearance is an important application in permanent make-up. You can choose to pigment the entire lip or just the lip contour. The treatment creates an optically beautiful and tight lip line and a beautifully shaped mouth.
Eyebrows
Make your eyebrow wider, fuller, tighter or lifted naturally. Scars can be camouflaged and brows that are too thinly plucked can be brought back into shape.
PHI contour
Permanent make-up can change and beautify the appearance and appearance of the eyes. For example, eyes that are too large or too small can be visually corrected. A narrow or wide eyeliner creates a well-groomed look With this treatment, you will always have beautifully groomed eyes and no worries about runny make-up.

Alopecia - what is it?
When no hair is present on a normally hairy area, it is called alopecia. Alopecia can be congenital and hereditary, but most forms have a different cause. After proper examination, most conditions that cause hair loss can be recognised and treated.
How does it work?
In dermatography, also known as medical tattooing, the skin therapist injects colour pigments using tattooing equipment. Several skin therapists have specialised in medical tattooing. This can be used to reconstruct eyebrows. In the case of hair loss on the head, micro hair pigmentation can be applied. MHP is a treatment applied to the scalp through (permanent) pigmentation to imitate the natural look of real hair. Whereas previously this was mainly used on men, more and more women are opting for this treatment.

A medical tattoo proceeds in a number of steps. During the first appointment, the patient tells the history of the condition and an allergy test is done. The best colour is also determined from a wide variety of pigment shades. In the process, the skin therapist applies a little pigment in the part of the skin to be treated. The next appointment is after at least four weeks. Only then can we see whether the colour is correct and whether the pigment does not cause an allergic reaction.
causes. During this appointment, the skin therapist determines the shape and starts colouring it.
Four to six weeks afterwards, the patient and skin therapist assess together whether the shape and colour are right. In the subsequent treatment(s), the skin therapist adjusts the colour. Immediately after treatment, the pigmentation is still quite dark and the skin may be slightly swollen. The natural renewal process of the skin causes the pigmentation to lighten up to 40% a few days after treatment. When the tattoo is as close as possible to its natural shape and colour, the skin therapist's work is done. A tattoo may fade after several years, requiring updating. This is a normal biological process. Keep the tattooed skin dry for the first week after treatment. The skin may peel and sometimes scabs may form that you should not scratch. Make sure to protect the tattooed area from the sun for the first six months. Cover the area with clothing or a plaster or protect it with a sunscreen with a high SPF factor.
Dermatography - what is it?
Would you like fuller eyebrows, more expressive eyes or a less narrow upper or lower lip? We are happy to help you with dermatography (medical tattoo) treatments. After a proper examination, most conditions that cause hair loss can be recognised and treated.
How does it work?
This highly specialised technique, also called permanent make-up, has been used by our clinic for many years with great success. Both for colour defects caused by scars or pigmentary disorders and for cosmetic applications.
For example, consider the following dermatography treatments:
- nipple reconstructions
- lip line correction (for a harelip or schisis or cosmetic)
- eyebrows (after hair loss due to e.g. alopecia areata or cosmetic)
- hypopigmentation (too little pigment)
- scars from trauma or injuries (e.g. burns or after surgery)
- eyeliner (after hair loss due to e.g. alopecia areata or cosmetic)
Result
Medical pigmentation requires several treatments. There is a 6-week healing period between treatments. This way, the skin can recover properly and the pigmentation is slowly built up for a natural-looking result. On average, three treatments are needed to achieve the desired result. A pigmentation may fade after a few years, requiring updating, this is a natural biological process.
Scalp pigmentation & micro hair pigmentation - what is it?
An innovative pigmentation technique for filling or camouflaging bald or thin-haired areas on the scalp. Scalp pigmentation is often chosen after a hair transplant. This technique is also great for camouflaging various forms of Alopecia or hiding any scars. Suitable for a wide range of men and women. Scalp pigmentation is a safe treatment. The risk of complications or side effects is very low.
How does it work?
Using an ultra fine (less than 1mm) and fast up-and-down cannula, tiny micro dots (hair stubble) are pigmented into the 2nd dermis (skin layer). The semi-permanent hair dots are indistinguishable from natural hair dots.

When applied over the entire scalp, this technique creates a "shaven look". Immediately after the 1st treatment session, you will already have visible results. Usually, several treatment sessions are needed to achieve the optimal final result. The amount of treatments you need can be properly estimated during the 1st consultation with the pigmentation specialist. In most cases, it involves 2 treatment sessions. A touch-up or further refinement may be possible in a 3rd session.
Nipple areola correction - what is it?
After breast reconstruction, all or part of the areola is missing. Through medical pigmentation, the areola can be reconstructed. Pigmentation of areola and scars is an art in itself. A perfectly mirrored areola can be created by using a three-dimensional technique. This creates a natural-looking areola. This technique is also suitable for colouring scars and vitiligo.
How does it work?
A medical pigmentation proceeds in a number of steps. After a consultation with the pigmentologist, she examines which pigmentation technique and shade are most suitable. We can pigment the skin in such a way that differences in colour are hardly noticeable. With medical pigmentation, pigment is placed just under the epidermis of the dermis through very fine cannulas.
