Chin correction / double chin liposuction

What happens during a chin correction?

Chin correction/ Liposuction Double chin is an aesthetic surgical procedure in which:

  1. The excess fat is removed (liposuction)
  2. A slightly flabby skin is cut away (wedge excision)
  3. The sagging subcutaneous muscle in the midline is tighter (turkey neck)
  4. The chin is enlarged and projected slightly forward (chin prosthesis)

The consultation

The doctor will ask general questions about your health and possible medication. In consultation with the plastic surgeon, he will determine whether a chin correction is the ideal procedure for you and inform you about the expected result. Depending on your specific problem, we will go through the procedure step by step.

The anaesthetic

A chin correction is almost always done under local anaesthesia (whether or not combined with local sedation -anesthesia) unless it is combined with a larger operation. If you wish, the procedure can be done under full anaesthesia provided you pay an additional fee. It is performed by a qualified anaesthetist, using the latest equipment and short-acting anaesthetic products so you wake up quickly and almost never feel nauseous afterwards.
