Camouflage therapy

What is camouflage therapy?

In camouflage therapy, we work with you to find a camouflage colour that matches your natural skin tone as closely as possible. Within the clinic, we work with MicroskinTM, which is a light, liquid application applied to the epidermis (top layer of the skin). MicroskinTM is not a cream and does not have the appearance of other concealer products. Once applied, Microskin is durable, flexible and will not smear on your clothes or linen. It is waterproof and allows the skin to breathe and contains SPF50!

What indications can we treat?

MicroskinTM is suitable for everyone, all skin types and for burns. Camouflage therapy can be used for:
- Hyper- and hypopigmentation (too much or too little pigment)
- Vitiligo (loss of pigmentation of skin and hair)
- Rosacea, rosacea or wine spots
- Scars
- Dark circles under the eyes
- Burns
- After surgical procedures
- "Covering" tattoos

Treatment

The skin therapist listens to your personal needs and considers with you which technique is applicable. The colour is determined by the special MicroskinTM Color Match App.

There are two techniques for applying MicroskinTM:

- The stippling/stamping technique, this is meant for areas smaller than the size of the palm. A specially designed sponge with dots is used. The pore-like texture of the sponge allows for layering, giving the MicroskinTM a skin-like texture.
- The airbrush technique, this is used for larger areas. The airbrush allows the user to achieve a fine, even application that dries quickly.

We teach you how to apply MicroskinTM camouflage yourself during a treatment, so you can do it yourself at home .
